Accessibility Statement
Effective date: August 5, 2026 · Last updated: August 5, 2026
The James Games Company, LLC is committed to making MONOLITH accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and recognized web-accessibility standards.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Conformance status: MONOLITH is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to improve accessibility across the Service.
Measures we take
- Designing with sufficient color contrast between text and background where feasible;
- Supporting keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators for interactive controls;
- Associating form fields with labels and announcing error messages to assistive technologies;
- Providing text-based gameplay that can be read by screen readers, and optional voice input and narration features;
- Honoring the "reduced motion" system setting to limit non-essential animation;
- Using responsive layouts and scalable text so content adapts to zoom and mobile devices;
- Reviewing accessibility as part of ongoing development.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of, and working to address, the following areas:
- Some decorative and animated elements (for example, the cinematic intro and ambient visuals) are visual-only and may not convey information to assistive technologies; they are not required to play.
- Certain real-time, game-specific interfaces (such as the dice tray, combat play cards, and turn displays) may not yet be fully optimized for all screen readers.
- Voice recognition quality depends on your browser and device.
If any barrier prevents you from using a part of the Service, please tell us — see below.
Compatibility
MONOLITH is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile. Accessibility depends in part on the technologies you use; older browsers or assistive tools may not support all features.
